Rassana case: After BJP's brazen betrayal women start fast unto death for CBI probe
4/1/2018 12:09:58 AM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 31: As ruling BJP leadership has left at crucial time only to appease Hurriyat Conference, helpless women of Hiranagar today started fast unto death for their demand of handing over Rassana alleged murder and rape case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for impartial and netural probe.
Four women today started fast unto death at Kootah Morh, situated near the village Rassana where heinous crime took place in the month of January. People were hoping that BJP leaders, who whom they had voted in Parliament and Assembly elections would provide them justice but due to lust for power and pressure from Kashmir centric parties including Hurriyat Conference and other radical groups, their leaders have left them at this point of time when people are allegedly facing tourture and harassement in the name of investigation.
Four women who sat on fast unto death attacked BJP leadership for betrayal. One of the women said that as a female they all are with the victim girl and would strive hard to ensure justice to the victim and her family but they on the other said that innocent should not be tortured in the name of investigation. They accused police of working with premind set to implicate locals without any proof.
As reported in a section of media BJP leadership has abandoned Samba and Kathua district due to on going stir. BJP has already changed the venue of its state executive committee meeting from Kathua to RS Pura fearing that people would express their anger.
The two-day executive committee meeting would be held at the at Suchetgarh in RS Pura subdivision on April 1. "Despite having an equal partnership in the government, BJP ministers have failed to fulfil the demand of Kathua locals to hand over investigation of this heinous crime to the central agency for a fair trial. There is a perception among people that both state and central leadership of the party have virtually abandoned the people of Kathua only to appease Kashmir-centric groups", the report mentioned.
