Rohingya deportation: JKNPP hold anti-govt protest
4/4/2018 10:58:48 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 4: The J-K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today held protest against the state government, especially the ruling coalition partner BJP, for allegedly not doing anything to deport Rohingyas and Bangladeshis from Jammu region, despite brewing public anger.
Activists led by JKNPP Chairman Harsh Dev Singh staged a protest at the Exhibition ground here.
Describing the Rohingyas as the "biggest threat" to the communal harmony and composite culture of Jammu, Singh alleged the BJP partnered dispensation of not responding to the alarming situation, which he said could vitiate peace in the city of temples.
He alleged that the number of illegal foreign immigrants posing a demographic threat to Jammu region had soared under the BJP rule as thousands of Rohingyas are now camping in Jammu and Samba districts.
"They had illegally raised fabricated slums at several congested colonies in Jammu city and managed to procure PRCs, Aadhaar cards, Ration cards, free water connections under the tutelage of the present BJP-PDP dispensation", Singh added.
The protest that saw activists raising anti-BJP slogans and burning effigy of the coalition government demanded for the immediate repatriation of illegally settled foreigners.
