4/4/2018 11:21:26 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 4: The head of departments haven't held review meetings with the authorities of Government Medical College and Hospital and its associated hospitals, which has hampered the departmental functioning.
According to sources, in the absence of review meeting with head of departments of GMC&H and its associated hospitals, the respective departments are reportedly facing stagnation in its functioning but no one is bothered.
"In the absence of review meeting with the head of departments, the functioning at GMC&H and its associated hospitals is getting affected," said sources, adding that issues of the doctors and staff remained unheard.
The head of one of the departments, pledging anonymity, said that the graph of functioning of Medical College and its associated hospitals is plunging, as the issues pertaining to various department and its staff as well as doctors have not been projected since last many years.
"As there is no one to listen to the problems being faced by the doctors and staff, the department is plunging into mismanagement," said the senior doctor, adding that department doesn't have enough staff including Nursing Orderly (NO), equipment and other basic items. He said these issues could only be highlighted at a review meeting, which doctors are being deprived of.
