| Seminar held at SMVDU | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 4 In the serene academic environs of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, students of various professional institutions of Jammu province today assembled to deliberate on vital issue in emerging marketing sector and concerns thereof. Inaugurating the seminar, Prof R S Mishra, Dean Students, SMVDU said that the emerging business environment is witness to the special-economic zones, mergers and acquisitions as the major growth engines. "But every one has a keen eye on Social Responsibility of Corporate world which ultimately gives meaning to the existence of business houses in the society", he added. Prof. R.L. Bhat from Department of Economics, University of Jammu and presented key note address while Vivek Tyagi, the Human Resource Manager of Coca-Cola India Ltd, in his address, emphasized on CSR practices of big corporate brands. The candidates from various parts of Jammu division including Jammu University, Priyadarshani Institute of Management Sciences, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, ICFAI National College, Institute of Management Sciences, and the host SMVD University, College of Management participated and deliberated upon the emerging issues of business environment. The thought provoking sessions were then followed by valedictory address by Mr. Diljeet Singh Mehra, the Plant Head, Casil Industries, Group of Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd., expressed his concerns on the emerging aspects of Business Environment. First and second positions were bagged by students of College of Management, SMVD University, while third position went to Priya Darshani Institute of Management Sciences, Jammu. |
