| Ret's, Ev's organize protest rally to press their demands | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 4 Showing anger of dissatisfaction of the hands of government, hundreds of aggrieved youth under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Rahbar-e-Taleem (ReT) Forum today organized a protest rally in support of their demands. Hundreds of Rahbar-e-Taleem teachers and Educational Volunteers (EV's) across the state today organized a protest rally in support of their long pending demands which included inclusion of five years period in their service records, implementation of SRO-143 and conversion of EGS centre in to primary schools. The protest was held under the leadership of its state chairman Vinod Sharma who criticized the government attitude towards the Ret's and Ev's in the state. Expressing dissatisfaction, Vinod Sharma lambasted the state government for not meeting with the genuine demands of the Ret's and Ev's after the assurances made by the deputy chief minister earlier. Earlier, hundreds of Ret's and Ev's from all over the state assembled at Exhibition ground and later took a protest rally marching towards the civil secretariat , however their attempt of secretariat gherao was foiled by the police at Indira Chowk after a minor scuffle between the two. These protestors later staged sit-in at Indira Chowk where various leaders of the forum addressed the aggrieved youths. |
