Trade Fairs suitable plate form for artisans, craftsmen: Mangat
INWWS expects heavy rush to Jammu Fair: Vohra

Minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma has said that Trade Fairs and Exhibitions provide suitable platform for Artisans and Craft persons to sell out their products to the customers with out getting exploited due to middlemen ship. He said that such fairs also provide an opportunity to the customers to get the product of their choice at reasonable rates and of better quality and texture.
Sharma was addressing a gathering at Gole Market Gandhi Nagar Jammu today after inaugurating 10-days Trade Fair organized by Indian National Women Welfare Society (INWWS) under the supervision of its President Shavita Vohra.
He said that the trade fairs are a good means to showcase the latest products of our indigenous industries and manufacturing units ranging from edibles to wearing items and from books to electronic gadgets. He said that holding such fairs across the state and outside have been attracting heavy rush of customers and have also proved to be a good means of entertainment as mostly these are supplemented by cultural and musical events. He said that the budding and established entrepreneurs have kept their products available in this Trade Fair and added that people ought to take advantage of this Fair to purchase items of their choice in their vicinity.
Congratulating Shavita Vohra for organizing this Trade Fair, the Minister said that he has been long associated with the practice of holding Trade Fairs in different cities across the country. This has invited acclaim and applause to this enterprising organizer .He also complimented Vohra for organizing such a Trade Fair in city of temples and hoped that he would be continuing this practice not only in Jammu but in other cities of the state in future too.
Shavita Vohra President INWWS in his address thanked the state government and other agencies for providing all possible help to hold this fair. He said that he would be pleased to hold such Fairs in future too and expected that the Fair at Jammu would captivate customers of cross sections of the society.
The Trade Fair inaugurated by Health Minister would last up to February 14 and is expected to witness a large number of visitors as it comprises of 90 stalls kept by different traders from Jammu, Srinagar, Delhi and other cities. Items like books, kiryana, electronic gadgets, furnishings, wearing and kids items have been kept available in the stalls.
