| Several deputations call on Advisor to CM | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 4 Various deputations today called on Advisor to Chief Minister Janak Raj Gupta and putforth their demands A deputation of STs led by Choudhery Latif demanded opening of mobile schools and providing medical facilities and BPL ration to Bakarwalls. Another deputation of Cooperative trained unemployed youth demanded maintaining of merit in recruitment process. A deputation of PG physical education teachers demanded promotion as lecturers. Another deputation of selected Sub Inspectors in 1999 apprised Gupta that they have not been considered. Kashmiri migrants sitting at dharna demanded redressal of their demands while as a deputation of ousted excise employees demanded their absorption in Excise department. A Gujjar deputation led by Zulikha Choudhery demanded providing of land to landless Gujjars. Some other deputations also called on Gupta and projected their problems. Gupta heard the deputationists patiently and told them that their demands would be projected at appropriate quarters for early redressal. He said that Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has issued instructions for on spot redressal of the grievances through public darbars at district, Tehsil and block levels. |
