JKNPP to celebrate 'Jashn-e-Jammu' tomorrow
8/25/2006 7:44:09 PM

Jammu, Aug 25 As a mark of victory over the implementation of Wazir Commission Report on creation of four new districts in Jammu region, the JKNPP today announced to celebrate 'Jashn-e-Jammu' tomorrow.

The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) superemo Bhim Singh, in a press statement said Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad will be the chief guest on the occasion.

He will also inaugurate the function here.

He said the leaders of all political parties have been invited to attend the event.

Elaborating on the function, Mr Singh said a colourful programme is being organised wherein artists of all the newly created districts - Kishtwar, Samba, Reasi and Ramban will depict their rich culture.

Commenting on BJP's plea to stall the celebrations citing reasons that the Commission's Report is against the people of Jammu, Mr Singh said ''We have already sent the invitation to the BJP leaders to unitedly celebrate the victory of the people of the state.'' He denied any such discrimination against Jammu region.
