| Selling dreams for huge sums, Jammu youth, another booked | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 4 The Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a case two persons for luring youth to jobs in Canada and extracting huge money from them. According to a Crime Branch spokesman, Harinder Singh of Nanak Nagar and Rajan Bansal of Chandigarh used to take lakhs of rupees from youth on pretext of sending them to foreign countries for jobs. The enquiry conducted by Crime Branch following a complaint lodged by Mohammad Zubair Khan son of Pervaiz Ahmad and Arajuman Khan son of Mohammad Amin residents of Azad Basti Natipora revealed that lakhs of rupees have been grabbed by Rajan Bansal of Chandigarh and Harinder Singh of Nanak Nagar Jammu from the complainants on the pretext of sending them to Canada for job. Meanwhile, the Crime Branch conducted an enquiry in respect of a complaint received from a sister agency revealed that Hepatitis-B Vaccine was provided by M/S Wock Hardt (Stockists) through Cecil Pharmaceuticals Jammu for vaccination programme in Kashmir Valley during the year 2000-2001. Rs. 1000/- was charged from general public for 10 ml vial of Hepatitis Vaccine. Astonishingly the same vial was supplied by the same company during the same period to SKIMS Soura and Director Health Services, Jammu at Rs. 690/- and Rs. 480/- respectively. The promotion of the vaccination programme by concerned authorities of Health department at exorbitant rates has subjected the common mass of Kashmir Valley to wrongful loss. A case has been registered in Crime Branch Kashmir and investigation taken up. |
