Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 5 For the forthcoming Sports Festival (under-14 year football) to be held in Goa, the Jammu wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) today announced the 20 probable for coaching camp. Before the final selection, the committee looked into different aspects of the game in young footballers through three-day selection trials held at Mini-Stadium, Parade, here. The probable were selected by the Selection Committee comprising Nazir Indrabi (Srinagar), Ajay Sharma and Yogesh Kohli (Jammu) under the chairmanship of Ashok Khajuria, chairman of the committee. These selected probable today started their 15-day coaching camp under the guidance of State Sports Council, Sat Pal Singh at Mini Stadium Parade, here today. “The camp that started today is being attended by 20 boys. Out of these 20 young footballers four will be dropped at the time of screening to make it a 16-member team before the departure on February 18,” chairman of the selection committee of JKFA, Ashok Khajuria told Sports & Allied News. Selected probable: Goal-keepers: Shiban Mehra and Nirdosh Sagotra. Defenders: Farhan Showkat, Imran Maqbool, Akib Manzoor, Bhanu Partap Singh and Gurmeet Kalsi. Mid-Fielders: Jawar Hayat, Mohd Ateef, Rohit Kalsotra and Afzan Parvez. Forwards: Vikas Sodhi, Mehraj Din Bhat, Sayeed Mir Walid, Pardeep Sharma, Dimple Bhagat, Ranjeet Rana, Gourav Bahadur, Nishad Ali and Sushil Michal. |
