A deputation of Federation of Industries called on Minister for Industries and Commerce Nawang Rigzin Jora here today.
The deputation projected a charter of demands which include delegation of more power to General Manger District Industries Centers in processing and disbursement of incentives and acquisition and development of new Industrial Estates, redefining the role of Directorate of Industries and Commerce for streamlining the existing procedures and for expediting clearance of various permissions, installation of two diesel sells in one unit within sanctioned load, issuance of quarterly assessments report from Directorate of Industries and Commerce who have applied for renewal and fresh NOC from Pollution, Control Board, disbursement of central subsidies, self-assessment of raw-material and finished good by unit holders and enhancement of rentals and premium. The matter regarding toll tax, trade tax and creation of new industrial areas were also discussed.
The Minister gave a patient hearing and said that their genuine demands would be taken into consideration. |
