| Mangat inaugurates Polio Camp | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 5 Minister for Health and Medical Education Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma addressing audience at free polio diagnostic camp here today called for rapid propagation of healthcare across the state. Poor and downtrodden should get focus of attention, he added. Narayan Sewa Sansthan Jammu organized the camp in coordination with Ministry of Social Justice and empowerment. Specialized team of doctors from Udaipur treated the patients in the camp besides doctors from state. Patients required surgery would be sent to Sansthan's hospital for free treatment. Mangat said that government had taken up various measures for the health care facilities and welfare of physically challenged persons. He said "free polio drops and other medicare facilities have been kept available on priority in health institutions across the state". He said government had introduced various welfare schemes for the upliftment of physically distressed persons. He asked them to come forward and take full benefits of these schemes. Appreciating the role of Narayan Sewa Sansthan in the state for their selfless services, the Minister said such NGOs were rendering great service to mankind. Mangat assured the trust that all genuine assistance would be provided by the government to such NGOs who worked for needy. Physically challenged children presented an impressive cultural programme on the occasion. |
