| Youth PDP flays BJP for remarks on WG | | | Early Times Reporter

Bashir Assad, General Secretary PDP, Youth Wing has lambasted the state unite of BJP for their remarks on the recommendations of the Working Group on Rehabilitation of militancy victims.
While reacting to the statement of BJP state president, Bashir Assad said that BJP was also signatory to the recommendations of the Working Group and that it was a majority decision, as such BJP was bound to accept the recommendations.
“The new rehabilitation policy covers all the segments of the society who suffered enormously on account of unabated militancy of past 18 years including the victims of Kargil war and motor shelling and the displaced Kashmiri pundits” Assad said and asserted that the border people who suffered due to land mines have also been brought under the purview of the new rehabilitation scheme, therefore BJP raising hue and cry over the issue was unwarranted for and out of context.
Assad said that BJP was pushing its divisive agenda unnecessarily by questioning the recommendations of the Working Group as they were represented by their senior leader in the Group, so a party to the recommendations.
Assad demanded implementation of the recommendation of the Working Group at the earliest to give respite to the unfortunate victims of the unabated violence of past 18 years. |
