| Environment awareness programme held | | | Early Times Reporter

Directorate of Ecology, Environment and Remote Sensing in collaboration with Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College organized an environment awareness programme at the said college.
The programme included an Essay writing competition, Painting competition and symposium on “Environmental Protection”. The programme was attended by 500 students and teaching staff of the college. Mutaharra Deva, Scientist of Directorate of Environment and remote sensing was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, she threw the knowledge on various aspects of Environmental issues confronting the humanity. She called for awareness among masses in tackling various environmental challenges.
In Essay Writing Roohi Gupta, Sunaina Koul and Aruna Bhat stood Ist, 2nd and 3rd.
In painting competition Anuradha Pandita , Akhil Gupta and Nidhi Kapoor shared 1st, 2nd and 3rd place while Syed Azhar, Shikha Bhat and Meena Gupta shared 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
The programme was also attended by Vijay Kotwal, Principal of GGM Science College and JK Kohli, Environmental Soil Conservationist. |
