| BJP leaders felicitated | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 5 Janipur Mandal of Jammu District BJP today organized a function in which party leaders were felicitated by presenting momentos by the BJP Mandal President Rakesh Gupta and Yuva Morcha Ex-Mandal President Ishan Mahajan. Over 25 youth of the area also joined BJP on this occasion, who were welcomed into the party by State Secretary Yudhvir Sethi, State treasurer Sat Sharma and Distt. President Kavinder Gupta. These new entrants were garlanded by these party leaders. While addressing the party activists, Yudhvir Sethi and Kavinder Gupta said that the youth is the future and real strength for prosperity of a nation and this is only possible if the youth are given adequate opportunities to flourish. A youth can prove his ability and capability if he is tension-free and do not have to depend on others. They said the anti-youth policies adopted by the coalition government in the state have resulted into wide spread resentment among the youth as they are being lathi-charged and tortured for demanding jobs. They said the highly educated youth are provided jobs under Rehbar-e-Sehat, Rehbar-e-Taleem and Rehbar-e-ziraat and are paid less than what a labourer earns in a month. The BJP leaders said that the state government is least bothered to provide jobs to the youth and for their welfare. It is only concerned for such elements which are working against the national interests and threatening the very survival of nationalist forces in the state. They said coming of more and more youth into the BJP is an indicator that the people, youth in particular, are of the opinion that it is only the BJP which can ensure mitigation of their sufferings. They, on this occasion, disclosed that in the coming days, more youth, even staunt supporters of ruling alliance parties will be embracing the BJP. Sat Sharma, in his address, said that the present coalition government has failed to check price rise, end corruption and give fair share to Jammu and Ladakh in developmental and employment sectors. He said the people are facing hardships due to inadequate supply of ration items in government depots, irregular supply of drinking water and electricity but no one cares. The people are coming on roads, holding protest demonstrations and burning the effigies of the coalition government but this government is in deep sleep as far as the public-welfare related matters are concerned.
