| Chaman flays PDP, Cong for keeping soft corner for terrorists | | | Early Times Reporter

Ridiculing the much eagerness being demonstrated by the Congress-led coalition partners for facilitating the return of trained ultras and their operators in Pakistan and Pak-held areas, the former Union Minister and a senior leader of the BJP, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has wondered that they are little bothered over the plight of the victims of terrorist wrath including the families of the massacred persons, lakhs of migrants who were forced out from their homes and herth as also thousands of those who have been denied the basic rights residing in this state for the past over sixty years.
Sharply reacting over the meeting of the PDP Chief, Ms. Mehbooba Mufti with the Prime Minister and emphasizing for early steps to facilitate the return of these youths and their mentors from across the borders to this side and take measures for their rehabilitation, Prof. Gupta observed that all this indicated that what links they were having with such elements and what are their future scheme of things as it was getting difficult for Pakistan to take care of such ultras because of eruption of militancy in troubled Pakistan itself.
He alleged that terrorism had taken birth on this soil of saints and sofis in late eighties but for wrongs inflicted during elections under control of the Congress-National Conference coalition as Pakistan had found the opportunity to exploit the resentment caused in the valley due to their wrongs and it was quite significant that many wrongs are now again being committed when the Congress is again in coalition with a different partner who is doing every wrong to harm the National Interests and the Congress leadership is appeasing such elements just to save their coalition without bothering for the dangers inherent in such an appeasement.
The BJP leader asked those who are demanding the return of ultras from across the LoC/ borders that they should explain that for what purpose these people had gone there in enemy held areas and what is their number now in Pak/PoK and why they are not opting for legal procedures for their return as there are set methods for going and coming abroad.
He further questioned that whether Pak-authorities would agree that there are trained ultras of this State on their soil as till date Pakistan has been denying that there was no training camp in any area under their control and they were not backing any cross border terrorism.
Prof. Gupta said that it looks that the PDP and other Congress allies have with them have no other major agenda to look after the ultras and their families without bothering the problems facing the people and the unemployed youths, refugees and the poor lot who have been on the receiving end of the wrongs and anarchy created by this coalition.
He impressed upon all the nationalists to keep watch on the activities and moves of all those who are playing their cards under which manner keeping in view the coming polls. |
