| JP activists protest against Thackrey | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 6 Activists of state unit Janta Party held a protest demonstration here on Wednesday demanding stern action against the Maharashtra Nawnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackery charging him for indulging violence against the north Indians in Mumbai. Condemning the attack on taxi drivers and vendors of north Indians in Mumbai, activists of Janta Party J&K state unit held a protest demonstration against MNS president and his supporters for indulging violence in Mumbai and demanding stern action against the culprits. The protest was held under the aegis of JPJKU president Som Nath Dabgotra who demanded that the Maharashtra government should take stern action against Raj Thackery for his anti national and anti social activities. On the occasion the protestors were raising slogans against Raj Thackery and his supporters for destroying 'social cohesion and harmony' in Maharshtra and burnt the effigy of Thackery. They further demanded the arrest of Raj Thacker for disturbing the communal and regional harmony within the country and stated that Mharashtra government should take necessary steps to maintain peace in Mumbai. |
