| RJMLS felicitates Shafi Pandit | | | Early Times Reporter

Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society award was presented to Mohd Shafi Pandit, chairman of PSC in function organized by RJMLS in collaboration with Center for Professional Studies in Urdu, Jammu University.
Amitabh Mattoo, Vice Chancellor of Jammu University was the chief guest on the occasion while Ved Bhasin, Editor-in-Chief was guest of honour and Prof Shohab Inayat Malik, president of society were presided over the function.
The award was presented to Pandit for his overall life achievements including art and culture. While highlighting the qualities of head and heart of Pandit, Mattoo described him as honest and dedicated administrator who always struggled for the downtrodden section of the society.
Bhasin highlighted the work of Pandit towards art and culture in the state said that Pandit has taken keen interest to revive Band pather a folk dance of Kashmir and made detailed mapping of heritage structure in Srinagar in collaboration with INTAC.
Earlier, Shohab highlighted the aim and objectives of the RJMLS.
Pandit, in his address, thanked the RJMLS for honoring and appreciated the role of Prof Shohab Malik for his contribution towards Art, Culture and Languages in the state.
Prof Khursheed Hamra Dadiqi read out the citation of Mohd Shafi Pandit.
A large number of students, teachers and member of civil society were also present on an occasion. |
