| It’s MAM v/s PG in men’s Badminton final today | | | Early Times Reporter

Post Graduate (PG) Departments of University of Jammu shall take on Government MAM College in the final of annual inter-college men’s badminton tournament to be played tomorrow at Gymnasium Hall of University of Jammu, here.
In the semi-finals, played today, PG Departments trounced Degree College Kathua 3-0. In other semi-final, MAM College outplayed Government SPMR College of Commerce again 3-0.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals, Commerce College beat JIAR College (3-2) in a close contest that lasted for full five games. In another quarterfinal, PG Departments outplayed MAM College (Evening) 3-0.
Today’s matches were officiated by Vikram Jamwal, NIS Diploma holder in badminton and Ravish Vaid, NIS Diploma holder in table tennis under the supervision of Ramesh Magotra, senior table tennis coach of the Department of Physical Education.

Semi-finals: MAM College bt Commerce College 3-0: Singles: Vikram bt Sahil Sharma; Vipul Saini bt Sahil. Doubles: Vikram Saini and Vipul Saini bt Sahil and Shashi. PG Departments bt Degree College Kathua 3-0: Singles: Atul bt Amit Pal Singh; Ashwani bt Bali Gurpreet Singh. Doubles: Atul and Ashwani bt Amit Pal Singh and Raghav.
Quarterfinals: Commerce College bt JIAR College 3-2: Singles: Nitish Sharma bt Dinesh Gupta; Sahil Sharma lost to Abhishek Magotra. Doubles: Sahil and Prateek lost to Abhishek to Dinesh. Reverse single: Shashi Shankar bt Sourav Gupta. Reverse doubles: Ajay and Shashi bt Sourav and Rahul. PG Departments bt MAM (Evening) 3-0: Singles: Atul Verma bt Waqar; Ashwani bt Arun.
