| ‘River Castle’ upcoming project of JKHCL | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 7 The J&K Co-operative Housing Corporation Limited today made an announcement of its upcoming multi storey project 'River Castle' at Sidhra which is believed to be the part of the programme lunched by the corporation to provide better civic amenities to the masses of the state. The Bhoomi Poojan of the project will be held today at Sidhra and Minister for Agriculture and cooperatives Abdul Aziz Zargar will be the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing in a press conference here on Thursday, J&K co-operative housing corporation chairman, Balbir Singh Manhas stated that corporation has initiated to provide better housing facilities to the masses of the state and in this regard the corporation during last 25 years have completed 14 projects in the state besides eight new are in pipeline. He further said that in its programme of building housing projects across the state, the corporation will today held Bhoomi Poojan on its multi storey project 'River Castle' at Sidhra today, where Minister for Agriculture and cooperatives Abdul Aziz Zargar will be the Chief Guest on the occasion. While informing about the layout of the 'River Castle', J&K housing corporation chairman disclosed that the project will comprising of 64 flats with each flat having two- three room accommodation besides having the basic facilities . He also said that outstanding of Rs.30.22 Cr are yet to be recovered by the J&K Housing Corporation Ltd from the different projects as an amount of sanctioned loan while the corporation has got loan of Rs. 35cr from LIC and Rs.40.62cr from HUDC for its projects, in which an outstanding of RS.12.15cr of LIC and Rs. 30.22cr are yet to be paid. The corporation has also taking an initiative of building residential flats in Leh area of Ladakh and will start work on this project in July-August this year he said, adding that this will be the corporations first project in the Ladakh region. The housing corporation has so far constructed residential flats in the districts of Jammu, Kathu, Baderwah, Poonch, Rajouri, Udhampur, Srinager, Budgam, Buramulla and Anantnag,he said ,adding that more than ten thousand people got benefited by these projects across the state. Others present on the occasion included Director Housing Corporation Ramesh Chander, Yashveer Singh, Darshan Gupta and Bharat Bushan. |
