| 3 Kattha manufacturers booked | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 20: Lakhanpur police today booked three manufacturers of Kattha in Kathua district and also rauided three manufacturing units for investigation.
Sources claimed that acting on a complaint a case under FIR no 29/18 under sections 420, 409, 120B and Forest Act has been registered at police station Lakhnapur against three manufacturing units and police also raided the units.
Sources further said that all the three units manufacture kattha which is used to be prepared from extracts of Khair trees cutting of which is banned.
Police sources said that after registration of FIR different teams of police assisted by officials of Forest department raided three units and during raids police found that stock of the Khiar trees was excess physically while shown less in the documents.
Police after registering FIR raided the units and also collected some evidences however further investigation in this regard is on. |
