| Senior citizen kidnapped by criminals, set free only after paying Rs 10, 350 | | | Early Times Report
srinagar, Apr 20: In a bizarre act a group of criminals kidnapped a senior citizen in the Srinagar city and snatched more than Rs. 10,000 from him before setting him free. Reports said that Ali Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Natipora-Srinagar was picked up by some criminals while he was walking near the Gonikhan market here. The criminals forcibly managed to lift the senior citizen and kidnapped him in a private vehicle. They demanded money from Ali Mohammad and after snatching Rs. 10,350 from him the criminals set him free with the threat he would face dire consequences in case he narrated the tale to anybody. Although, the incident took place in the city the culprits are yet to be nabbed. The Bhat family has lodged a complaint with Shergarhi police station with the plea that swift action should be taken in the case. |
