Poonch, Apr 20: Seven members of a family were injured when a house collapsed due to incessant rains at Surnkote area of border Poonch district on Friday. A police officer said that kaccha house of one Mohammad Rafiq collapsed and seven members of his family got trapped at Klar Katal village in Surnkote. "Soon after getting information, police and local volunteers launched a rescue operation, evacuating all of them in injured conditions and shifted them to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Surnkote", said the police officer.
He identified the injured as four brothers namely Zubair Ahmad, Javid Ahmad, Danish Ahmad, Aliyas Ahmad and their mother Sakina Kounsar wife of Liyaqat Ali, Shamim Akhtar daughter of Mohammad Rafiq and Rashmia Bi wife of Mohammad Rafiq. Among the injured two critically injured namely Zubair Ahmad, Shamim Akhtar has been referred to District Hospital Rajouri for specialised treatment, added the officer. |
