| LeT militant surrenders in Jammu | | | Early Times Reporter

Police today claimed that a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant surrendered before it in Jammu along with arms and ammunition.
Official sources told News Agency of Kashmir that a LeT militant Showkat Ahmed son of Ghulam Hassan of Dewal Mohar in Reasi district surrendered before Superintendent of Police (SP) Operations Mubasir Latifee, here today.
The said that the militant also handed over some grenades and ammunition at the time of his surrender.
However, reliable sources told News Agency of Kashmir that the militant code name Haroon was arrested during an operation, which was launched in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district by the army.
"He was part of the militant group which was engaged by the security forces early this week leading to the killing of two of his associates", sources claimed adding, "Haroon was arrested by the police during the operation and handed over to SOG Jammu for further investigations". |
