Govt arranges free langer, accommodation for stranded passengers:- Aijaz

Minister of State for Revenue Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan on the directions of Chief Minister visited Bus stand here this morning to assess the situation arised due to closure of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and Udhampur-Doda-Kishtwar roads.
During interaction, the stranded passengers put-forth their demands including air lifting from Jammu to Srinagar, temporarily arrangements for accommodation and medicare facilities.
The Minister heard them patiently and instructed the Deputy Commissioner Jammu Mr. Hirdesh Kumar Singh who accompanied the Minister to initiate the necessary measures in redressing the problems of stranded passengers on priority basis.
Aijaz Ahmad Khan said that the government has started free langer, temporarily accommodation and other facilities to them. He said that help line would be established at Bus stand for latest information of road condition.
Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Mr. Vinod Sharma and other senior officers of revenue department were accompanied the Minister.
