| Kidney scam kingpin held in Nepal | | | Kidney racket kingpin Dr Amit Kumar has been arrested in Nepal, according to Nepalese media.Dr Kumar had been absconding ever since illegal organ trade racket was busted recently in Gurgaon.The alleged mastermind of the Gurgaon kidney racket was hiding in a Kathmandu hotel till a ''few days ago'' and Nepal police were trying to probe his links with organ smugglers in Nepal, media reports said.
Kumar, who was wanted by police of many states in India, was arrested at a resort near Indo-Nepal border.He had conducted over 500 illegal kidney transplants in Gurgaon. |
