| Inter-college athletics meet in March | | | Early Times Reporter

Organised by the Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu (JU), the annual inter-college athletics meet of the University of Jammu (JU), organized shall be conducted in the first week of March on the campus.
Followed by the annual prize-distribution function, the athletics meet in both men and women sections would last for three days on the University tracks.
“It will be in this function that winners and runners-up trophies besides other individual prizes shall be presented to the respective colleges in the presence of distinguished gathering of heads of the institutions and sportspersons,” Assistant Director Physical Education, Dr Sonam Angchuk told Sports & Allied News.
Meanwhile, the only left out event of inter-college men’s volleyball shall be completed by the next week. “Postponed due to bad weather the semi-final and final of the men’s volleyball tournament shall be organized in next week,” informed Dr Angchuk.
On being asked about the most successful affiliated institution of the JU this year’s inter-college competitions, the Assistant Director told SAN that the Post Graduate Departments of the JU have won most of the titles this time. |
