| Develop indomitable will for empowerment: Vakil asks women | | Conference on Economic Empowerment of Women | | Early Times Reporter

Minister for Social Welfare Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil has advised women to develop indomitable will and excel in all professions and walks of life. He said women possess strong inherent capabilities to play equal and significant role in all round development of nation.
He was addressing a conference on 'Economic Empowerment of Women' organized by Chenab College of Education here today.
National Vice President Mahila Congress AICC Mrs. Krishna Mohini, legislators R. S. Chib, Farida Mir and Suman Bhagat, Director Colleges Development Council Menakshi Kilam, State Mahila Congress President Swaran Lata besides hundreds of women entrepreneurs were present on the occasion.
Vakil said that women had made their presence felt in political, professional and administrative fields and demonstrated amply their indispensable stakes in development. In this regard he cited the example of AICC President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi whom he described as most powerful lady. This lady, he said has set a shinning example for women of the country by her dynamism and quest for women cause. She was the perfect model for enterprising women of the country, Vakil noted.
In his welcome address, R S Chib said that India has become source of inspiration for community of nations after electing first women president. He called for creating proper space and conducive environment for them to bloom and contribute fully.
Besides legislators, women industrialists and entrepreneurs from all over Jammu division participated in the meet and shared their thought and experiences. |
