| UPHSS celebrates annual day | | | Early Times Reporter

An impressive cultural show by the tiny tots of United Public Higher Secondary School, Chani Himat marked the celebration of the Annual day of the school at Abhinav Theatre.
Former minister Dr. Mustafa Kamal was the chief guest while MLA Mohammad Sayeed Akhoon and MLC TS Wazir was the guest of honor on the occasion. The function was presided over by MLA Ajay Sadhotra.. Dr. SS Dua and Prof. Jigar Mohammad were the special invites.
Function started with the lightning of traditional lamp by MLA Sayee Akhoon which was followed by school students who presented various cultural items including Bhangra, Rouf, Dogri dance and fancy dress competition.
Addressing a jam packed Abhinav Theater, Dr. Mustafa kamal lauded the efforts of management of UPHSS in imparting quality education. He said, despite many constraints private institutions in state are imparting quality education to the children and producing good citizens whoa re the future of the nation.
Dr SS Dua in his address said that despite a nominal fee structure and other constraints the school management and staff are making all out efforts to ensure overall growth of the students.
Earlier, Principal of the school, Rajni Sharma presented out the annual report of the school and highlighted the achievements of the students during past one year.
Dr. Mustaf Kamal on this oacssion also presented cash awards to the meritorious students and wished them success in their professional careers. The management of the school also announced the cash reward of Rs 5000 for the students who would secure first positions in 10th and 12th class in future. |
