Local Gandhian workers of the state led by its president Mr. S. P. Verma organized all faith prayer this morning in the premises of Luthra Academy, Kachi-Chowni, Jammu on the demise of noted Gandhian and Socialite of the country, Baba Amte.
Hundreds of Gandhian workers belonging to various religions participated in paying floral tributes to the departed soul. Mr. S. P Verma highlighted the contributions made by Baba Amte towards the country.
Sanaullah Tameeri, M.M. Joshi, Sanjeev Luthra, Vinay Katal, S. Gurcharan Singh, Mohammad Farooq Mughal, Mrs. Esther William, Mrs. Shakuntla Joshi, Mrs. Nasreen Khan, Professor Anand, Vikram Gujral, G.N Jain and T. Namgyal also paid rich tributes to Baba Amte and urged the people to follow his foot prints in doing social service to the mankind. |
