Workers of BJP held a protest demonstration at Gangyal and burnt the effigy of the government for frequent unscheduled power cuts and scarcity of portable water. The local residents also joined the protest march to express their grievances against the indifferent attitude of the government which has failed to resotre the electricity supply and portable water. The residents are put to face this hardship continuously for many days and no concrete steps have been taken by the administration to solve the problems of electricity and drinking water. The protest marched passed through the streets of Gangyal town to adjoining areas of government effigy in Gangyal Chowk. The demonstration was led by Baldev Singh Billoria, vice president, Jammu (Urban), Vinay Gupta, Mnadal president, Shamsher Singh, Chowdhary Harbans Lal, general secretay, Jyoti Parkash and H.N Kachroo. |
