Jammu | Feb 10
Lambasting the coalition government for adopting step motherly treatment and ignoring the people of Bani and Lohai Malhar, senior National Conference leader and former Deputy Speaker, Ghulam Hyder Malik has alleged that the government was least bothered about the problems being faced by the inhabitants of the remote and far flung areas due to unprecedented snowfall.
He said that the entire area has been totally cut off from the tehsil headquarters and all major vital link roads have been blocked due to snow but the government is only concentrating in Kashmir Valley and Chief Minister’s home district.
The poor inhabitants are without rations and electricity for the last more than a week, he said, adding that ‘this is unfortunate and unbecoming on the part of the government’.
He impressed upon the government to come to the rescue of the people of the area and provide all basic amenities like ration, LGP, K oil to the affected people apart from clearing the snow from the vital link roads.
