| Hockey: Khalsa Club in semi-finals | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 10 Title contender, Khalsa Club made it into the last four stages of the Ashwani Kapoor Memorial Hockey Tournament defeating Zorawar Club 5-2 at K K Hakhu Stadium, here. Leading by two goals to one at the end of first half, Khalsa Club completely dominated the turf thereafter and added three more goals thereby making it a 5-2 win on way to the semi-finals. Jagjit Singh (2nd penalty corner), Amandeep Singh (30th penalty corner), Ranjit Singh (40th), Parvinder Singh (52nd) and Vinus (69th) were scorers from the winners Khalsa Club. Rajinder Singh (35th) and Ankush Charak (57th) reduced the margin from Zorawar Club. Today’s quarterfinal was officiated by Jagjit Singh, D Singh and Mukesh Kumar. Now, in the fourth quarterfinal shall be played tomorrow at 2.30 pm between University of Jammu XI and Govind Club Chatha. This tournament is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Hockey Association. |
