| VOJ Presented Challan against Superintendent Bal Ashram Udhampur involved in fraudulently drawn Rupees more than 24000/- | | | Jammu, August, 25:- Vigilance Organization Jammu today presented Challan against Yash Paul Sharma the then Supdt Bal Ashram Udhampur, who was allegedly involved in fraudulently draw of Rs 24,848/-.
According to the Challan presented by Vigilance organization that during the course of investigation the relevant record of the case were obtained from Bal Ashram Udhampur Apna Bazaar Udhampur and District Social Welfare Office Udhampur. From the scrutiny of records, it is found that on June 2, 1998 and August 2, 1998, the bill-books pertaining to proforma bills purported to have been issued by Apna Bazaar Udhampur were not in use of said Apna Bazaar Udhampur on these dates. As per the record these two proforma bills were actually issued on March 5, 1996 and June 12, 1997. these two proforma bills forging and falsely show the purchase of nutrition items by the Supt Bal Ashram Udhampur, which were found to be fake as the dispatch numbers reflected on these supply orders do not tally with the numbers on dispatched registered maintained in Bal Ashram.
According to the Challan it is found that Supt Bal Ashram Yash Pal Sharma with the dishonest intention of misappropriating Govt money forged two bills falsely shown the purchase of nutrition item for Bal Ashram from Apna Bazaar against these two fake bills, which he produced before the drawing disbursing officer for drawl and disbursement. He fraudulently managed to draw Rs 24, 848 through DDO from Govt treasury. Since he had neither purchased any nutrition item from Apna Bazaar nor did he made payment to Apna Bazaar. In the meantime Vigilance Started enquiry, the accused Yash Pal Sharma got alerted in order to cover up his misappropriation. He purchased nutrition items of similar type of same quantity and price from Apna Bazaar and attempted to project this purchase and the payment as the transaction under investigation. This attempt, too, was detected during investigation. In order to confuse and mislead any detection of such misconduct Yash Pal Sharma used Bill Nos and dispatch Nos, which was otherwise genuine but pertained to other transactions evidence in support of these findings stand collected. On the basis of investigation a case u/s 5(2) PC Act 2006 BK r/w section 471 RPC is fully established against Yash Paul Sharma the then Supt Bal Ashram Udhampur and presented Challan in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu.
