| Disgruntled BSP workers all set to launch new political party | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 11 Dissatisfied with the working of BSP supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mayawati for allegedly deviating from the ideologies of Baba Bhim Rao Ambadkar, the party's disgruntled workers in Jammu and Kashmir are all set to launch a new political party in the name and style of Bahujan Samaj Movement (BSM) in the state. Addressing media persons at a press conference here on Monday, President BSM, Sat Pal said that the decision to this effect has been taken because the BSP supremo has deviated from the ideologies of Baba Bhim Rao Ambadkar and Kanshi Ram much for the trouble of common masses. "She has diverged from the principles of B.R. Ambadkar and Kanshi Ram and joined hands with the oppressors all across the country," Sat Pal said. Decrying successive central and state governments for the plight of BahuJan Samaj in Jammu and Kashmir, he said that nothing is being done to uplift the weaker sections of the society and as a result their position deteriorates with every passing day in every sphere. "The coalition government of state has deprived the SCs, STs and OBCs from the actual rights of reservation and has never demonstrated its willingness to modify the SRO 294," he added. He alleged that the financial assistance meant for the weaker sections like widows, physically handicapped, elderly ones is not being given to deserving people but on political considerations. He further alleged that the coalition flouted all the rules and regulations by providing government jobs and gubernatorial postings on political considerations.
