| Altaf Niyaz’s music, melody released | | | Early Times Reporter

The Jammu and Kashmir academy of art, culture and languages in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir writers forum organized a book release function of music and melody written by Dr. Altaf Niyaz at K.L Saigal Hall today. M.Y Taing presided over The function Bhajan Sopori released the book while Pramod Jain commissioner/secretary to government higher and technical education was the chief guest of honour.
Delivering presidential address Taing appreciated the author and said that it is unique work published in book form which is written on the artists of the region. He also appreciated Dr. Rafeeq Masoodi for his keen interest to encourage writers, artists community by providing them the platform and help them to excel their talent too.
Speaking on the occasion Jain congratulated Niyaz and said that this book will encourage other writers to think and work on this aspect so that artists community and their contribution can also be preserved in book form. He also hoped some more creative works from the author. Earlier, while concluding the audience Dr. Rafeeq Masodi said that cultural academy is committed language, literature, culture and performing arts of the region. |
