| NC reiterates demand of sacking tainted Ministers | | Holds protest dharna at Vivekanand chowk | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 11 After a brief lull, the National Conference reiterated its demand for sacking of the tainted Ministers and to press for its demand the party activist led by its Youth leader Sanjay Gupta and Block President Jammu East Ayub Malik held a protest dharna at Vivekanand Chowk here today. A large number of party workers took to streets protesting against the coalition government for shielding the tainted ministers despite being indicted by the Kundal Committee report. Addressing the protestors, Malik alleged that the government has failed on all fronts and said that the coalition regime can’t befool the people any more as the corrupt practices of its ministers are before the general masses. ‘The NC has no other option but to take the issue in every nook and corner’, he said adding that the ‘party will continue to fight against the corrupt practices of the government’ who has been making tall claims of providing corruption free government to the people. Calling upon the party workers to be united and prepare themselves for the forthcoming assembly elections being held any time, the NC leader said that people who have been betrayed are eying on National Conference to lead them, a party hand out said. Among others, who took part in the protest dharna were Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari, MLA Surankot, Begum Zubida Salaria , ex- MLA and Provincial President Women Wing Bimla Luthra, Surinder Singh Bunty, Provincial President YNC, Sanjay Gupta, Farman Ali, Surinder Singh Jamwal, Ajay Paul, Rajesh Bakshi, Block President Gandhi Nagar, Dilshada Begum, Nargis Sitara, Veena Choudhary, Dalbir Singh, Ravinder Singh Lucky Ravinder Slathia, Manmeet Kour, Aftab Manhas and Saroj Gupta. |
