| CM takes serious note of news story; seeks report within 48 hrs | | | Early Times Reporter

Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has taken a serious note of the news report carried by a section of the press that the government has decided to transfer more than 600 kanals of forest land for setting up of Muslim Migrants' Colony in Jammu.
An official spokesman said here today that the Chief Minister has expressed shock over the news report. He said Mr. Azad is not aware of any such decision nor has he passed any such direction. No representation has been received by the Chief Minister regarding such a subject, he added.
In the meanwhile, the Chief Minister has sought a factual report on the subject within 48 hours from the Commissioner/Secretary, Forest Department and Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority.
