2/12/2008 11:27:59 PM
New Delhi | Feb 12
Unhappy over its failure to use the media to its advantage, the Congress is organising a two-day workshop for party spokespersons during which they will get lessons on fine-tuning their public relation tactics.
More than 100 party spokespersons from various states will attend the media workshop, to be held Feb 23-24 in the newly-constructed Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) office on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg here.
"It is to fine tune the planning, strategy and allocation of resources. It is also for pro-active planning centred on crucial messages in our communication skills," Congress media secretary Tom Vadakkan said.
There will be talks on topics such as communication skills, art of listening, foreign relations and United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, development and nation building and inclusive growth.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, senior party leaders Ashok Gehlot and party spokesperson Abishek Singhvi will deliver lectures. Leading media personalities from print and television are to address the workshop.
