| JURSEA convenes meet to discuss issues | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 13: The Jammu University Research Scholars Executive Association (JURSEA) today held a meeting and discussed several issues related to them. In the meeting, several resolutions were also passed, which included immediate end to extensions to retiring professors and other officers on the context of special assignments, representation to one of their executive members in university council / syndicate, immediate conduct of viva-voice of Ph.D and M. Phil scholars after the submission of their respective thesis. Furthermore, the resolution also asked for the implementation of self-attestation facility for both students and scholars, as attesting authorities were not responding to their duty. However, JURSEA also sought the participation of DRs and CRs in Departmental Purchase Committees and participation of one of their executive members in University Purchase Committee. Meanwhile, JURSEA has threatened to launch struggle if demands highlighted by them would not be conceded at an earliest. Those attended the meeting included Vikas Sharma (president), Anuradha Goswami (chairperson), Sajjid Hussain (joint secretary), Sanjana Gupta (treasurer) etc. |
