| Vertika from GCW Parade bags 1st prize in Vocal Solo Competition | | Display Your Talent | | Early Times Reporter

In the today’s Inter/collegiate Departmental Classical Vocal solo competition conducted by department of Students welfare, Jammu University under Display Your Talent, Vertika Sharma from Govt. College for Women Parade bagged first prize, while Gursharan Kour and Mamta Kalotra both from GCWGandhi Nagar were adjudged second and third respectively.
Today’s competition was adjudged by PN Raina and Prof. Kailash Mehra. Vertika spell bound the audience by presenting Raga Miyan Malhar in her sonorous voice. Gursharan Kour in her recital presented Raga Yaman. While Mamata Kalotra presented the bandish of Rageshwari, Bansi Bajway Sham Sundrwa dekho sakhi rey.
The programme was compeered by Sachin Bhagat. The programme was attended by Prof. Renu Sehgal, Prof. Kalpna Kesar, Prof. Sunaina Koul, Chinmei Sharma, Prof. Shohaib Inayat Mailk, Asstt. Dean (SW). |
