| JYF highlight demands , organize protest | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 13 In order to highlight their demands, Jatt Youth Fedration (JYF) today held a protest demonstration in front of the divisional commissioner's office seeking OBC status, Jatt hostel at Jammu and special package for Jatt community farmers. Addressing to media persons on the event, president JYF S. Manjeet Singh Jatt said that the six lakh Jatt community in the state were in very distress conditions and no one is giving any attention towards the community. He said that presently the community were facing various problems in the state and demanded that the government should come forward to meet with the burning problems of the community. They were demanded OBC status, construction of Jatt hostel at Jammu and special package for the Jatt farmers and handed over a memorandum to the divisional commissioners of Jammu in this regard. They further warned that if there grievances were not properly listened by the government in the coming time, all the Jatt community would take to streets to press their demands. Those present on the occasion included Vice president Sunil Choudhary, General Secretary S. Karnail Singh, Secretary Ravinder Choudhary, Treasure Satnam Singh, Sunil and others. |
