| Training programme for teachers organized | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 13 A training programme on ‘First Aid’ for the mobile school teachers is being organized by the Directorate of School Education, Jammu in collaboration with Directorate of Health Services and Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society of Jammu Division. In the first phase of the training programme, a batch of 99 mobile teachers reported for the training which has been scheduled from 12th to 18th February, 2008 while 60 mobile teachers are being trained in the Rehbar-e-Sehat Training Centre of the Government Medical College Jammu. The rest of the 31 teachers are under training at Red Cross Bhawan of Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu. The present batch includes the mobile teachers from Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Udhampur, Reasi, Ramban, Kishtwar and Doda districts. A team of doctors imparts training to the teachers so as to enable them to handle minor emergencies. The training of mobile teachers of other districts of Jammu division will be taken up in the second phase. The programme shall go a long way to benefit the Gujjar and Bakerwal community as they shall receive first aid at their doorstep in distant locations. |
