| ISM doctor’s demands separate directorates | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 13 The Jammu Kashmir unit of All India Ayurvadic Congress has expressed its deep concern over discriminatory attitude of state govt and reiterates its logical demand for bifurcation f present state level. Directorate of Indian system of Medicine and subsequently establishing separate respectively, on the pattern of all other departments. As per press release jointly issued by its president and general secretary, Dr. T.R Gupta and Dr Satya Gupta have said that Ayurvedic and Unani system medicines are identical, yet are different systems, right from academic to practice level. It will be worth while to mention that out of total 417 ISM Dispensaries, as many as 241 Dispensaries in addition to only Ayurvedic Hospital at Jammu belong to Ayurvedic discipline. There exists already separate infrastructure up to the level of Deputy Director and logically there should be no difficulty in establishing two separate directories. They said, present state level directorate of ISM is hindrance in the smooth of day to day working of ISM sector and separate Directorate for both the systems will go long way to satisfy aspirations of rank and file professionals as well as ailing masses. There are separate divisional Directorates for almost all departments and there is no administrative justification for denying the same to ISM staff. All J&K Ayurvedic Congress impresses upon State govt to do away with present policy of ad-hocism create ADMO posts for newly created districts regularizations of 90 newly opened dispensaries sanction of staff for 45 single handed dispensaries improvement in the infrastructure of all ISM institutions up-gradation of Ayurvedic Hospital and immediately fill up vacant post of Deputy Director (Auryvedic) Jammu, Medical Superintendent Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu, ADMO Rajouri and Poonch. |
