Ministers enjoy chopper rides in name of relief work: Harbans Dev

MLA, Harsh Dev Singh and chief spokesman of JKNPP has expressed grave concern over the total collapse of the administrative machinery in the wake of turbulent weather that has badly affected life in the hilly areas of the state. He said that the reports received fro the remote belts including the holly areas of district Udhampur namely Dudu Basantgarh, Latti, Majouri, parts of Kathua, Reasi and Doda district indicate that there is total disruption of normal life with people complaining of non-availability of foods, drinking water, medicare facilities, breakdown of power.
As per press release Singh has regretted that with the govt having utterly failed to provide effective assistance to the countless people caught in the disaster, ministers has seized the opportunity to indulged in privileged chopper rides in the name of surveying relief work.
He regretted that the Chief Minister himself was totally ignorant about the ground realities and has expressed satisfaction simply with the countless aerial surveys undertaken by him and his ministers. He said as busied themselves in joy-rides and snow seeing excursions, the administration is paying a lip service to the stressed people. Expressing grave concern over the administrative interia and read-tape prevailing in the govt Harsh Dev urged the Chief Secretary to enforce of administrative machinery at the grass root level and to ensure that the essential services including connectivity, power, medicare, drinking water, relief and ration are made available to the affected people.
