| There is a secret tie-up between Cong, NC: Panthers | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 14 Panthers Party has blamed the Congress for having forged secret understanding with the National Conference for “muzzling” democratic traditions and institutions in Jammu and Kashmir. Claiming that the Congress has been trying to keep both the PDP and the National Conference in good humor leader of the Panthers Party in the Assembly,Hasrh Dev Singh,said today “the Congress managed to scuttle the Assembly proceedings only after it had forged secret understanding with the National Conference.He said that the budget session of the Assembly was cut short by 10 days when the Congress felt that several ministers would be in the dock during discussion on grants of several departments. Harsh Dev Singh said that not only he but other members of the House had given a notice to the Speaker for tabling bills of public importance.He alleged that sensing that the Government would be in trouble and may get exposed the Congress sought assistance from the National Conference in sabotaging the opposition plan. He said that after this secret understanding it was only the Panthers Party that has emerged as the genuine opposition party in the state.He said that the Congress has been always in search of power and at present its aim was to retain this power.He added “in order to retain power it had kept all the options open.While on one hand it was trying to keep its alliance with the PDP in tact on the other it had kept the option of securing support from the National Conference in case of any need. Harsh Dev Singh said that people in the state had understood the congress game plan and “I am sure that in the next election the Congress would get a drubbing from the electorates.” |
