| RJD in favour of third front before ensuing elections | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 14 Rasrtriya Janta Dal (RJD) today suggested for formation of a third front in the state ahead of ensuing elections and called for all the like-minded parties to come on a single platform in order to end the dynastic and autocracy rule from the state. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, State president RJD Gh.Nabi Forah stated that it is time for the various secular and political parties to come on a single platform before the coming elections and form a policy to defeat the formation of next government from NC, PDP, BJP or Congress in the state. He said that RJD state unit has written letters to various political parties and organizations regarding the move of formation of a third front in the state and were waiting for their response. He further said that atmosphere in the state has changed yet now and people want a drastic change, which could be only possible if the third front will come in to existence and throw out these old regimes from the state. Expressing serious concern over the government move to enhance the retirement age of employees, he said that in spite of facing financial crunch and alarming unemployment, the coalition government without monitoring these problems was considering to raise the retirement age of the employees from 58 years to 60 years. Criticizing the government for its failure in fulfilling the promises of common masses of the state, the RJD state president said that their hollow slogans have been exposed now and their promises of healing touch and job assurances were seen no where. Those present during the press conference were Dharma Pal Kataria, Vivak Gupta, Mahesh Pada, Zulaf Kar, Abdul Rashid Lone and others. |
