RAJOURI, May 24: Tehsil administration Darhal on today held a meeting with the citizen council to discuss various issues pertaining to provision of essential services and development in Darhal. Pertinently on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary tehsil level citizen councils have been formulated in each tehsil of the district. Meetings are held on regular basis with members of these councils to get a first hand appraisal of public demands and issues. Tehsildar Darhal, Mohammad Younus Mirza, Block Development Officer, Naib Tehsildar, SHO and other sectoral officers were present in the council meeting which was attended by over a 100 senior citizens, social and political activists, Chowkidars, Numberdars besides Ex Sarpanches and Panches. Many issues were discussed regarding upgradation of road infrastructure, strengthening of power and water supply system, foot bridges on rivulets for safe passage of school going children, payments under MGNREGA and inclusion of left out families in surveys for PMAY, SBM and allocation of ration by FCS & CAs department inter alia other issues such settling of old age and widow pension cases.
