Jammu, May 24: J&K State Unit of United Forum of Bank Unions Ufbu held A Massive Protest Demonstration at SBI, Administrative Office, Rail Head Complex Jammu, which was attended by a large number of workmen and officers working in Public Sector Banks in the city of Jammu. Addressing the gathering Suresh Wali, State Secretary, AIBOC J&K, castigated the Govt. and IBA combine for meting out an unfair and unjust treatment towards the Bank employees who are working under extremely difficult conditions to keep the economy of the country on a progressive path.
He said that all the economic programs of the government are being launched through Banks and the Bank employees have to work night and day to achieve the targets set by the Government & the Bank Management. The Bank employees have to meet both the social obligations set out by the Government and the Commercial targets fixed by the Bank Managements, but when it comes to demanding our rightful and justified increase in wages, the Govt. and IBA are reminded of profits and paying capacity. He further said that every employer is lawfully bound to pay a decent wage to its employee, keeping in view the all-round environment. Further agitation program includes Protest Demonstration on 29th May 2018. |
