| BJP demands dismissal of UPA government | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 15 The BJP activists,including women workers,led by the party Chief,Mr Ashok Khajuria staged protest demonstration in the city while condemning hike in the prices of petrol and diesel. The BJP activists torched the effigies of the UPA Government and shouted anti-Congress slogans. Addressing the protesters Mr Khajuria said that during the Congress led Government in the centre the prices of petrol and diesel and other products had been hiked three times.He said that as a result of another hike the prices of diesel the farm sector would be hit hard. The BJP Chief said that during the last three years prices of all consumer items including including essential commodities had increase three times and the fresh hike in petrol and diesel would send prices of various items skyrocketing. The party protesters demanded that the prime Minister should resign and a fresh poll was ordered so that a responsible Government was installed.Mr Khajuria urged the president of India to dismiss the UPA Government in the interest of the security of the country because besides its failure in tackling the price rise it had failed to tackle the menace of terrorism. |
